Craft corner: Costume Challenge

Fairy Sparkles is setting you a challenge every day this week to help you create your very own Panto costume at home, for a virtual fashion show on Twitter at the end of the week.

Day 1

For the first challenge this week, you have to create your costume character on paper. Make a plan of what you want to create. Think about who your character is, whether they’re going to be a fairy, villain or member to royalty. Or maybe you want to recreate your favourite character from a story.

Day 2

Today, Fairy Sparkles is going to talk you through making your very own wand for your panto character. You can get as unique & creative as you like, or follow Fairy Sparkles guide to make one like theirs. 

Think about who your character is and what sort of wand they might have - it needs to reflect their costume! All you need is to find things from around the house, but get permission from an adult before you use anything.

Day 3

For Day 3, Fairy Sparkles is has created this step by step guide to help you create your own headpiece. Every Pantones character, be it fairy, villain or member to royalty needs something to wear on their head!

You can just go for it, or follow our adapt from our guide to help you get started.

Day 4

So today we’re going to be making a musical instrument…every panto character has to have  musical instrument.
If you’ve already got an idea…go for it!
