Kirsten Todd
-
Artist in Residence September 2022 to March 2023, with Tommy Graham.
Painting and art is Kirsten’s life passion, her number one love from being a small child. Lancashire born and bred, always with a brush in hand, she grew up with her uncle, also an artist, being her biggest influence and mentor.
After gaining a degree in graphic design at art college, she then went on to have a career graphic design spanning 30 years, all the while continuing to paint. Now concentrating fully on painting professionally, Kirsten specialises in portraits and abstracts with an expressionist style and works mainly in acrylics. She has shown her work in various exhibitions around the UK and gained a couple of emerging artist awards.
“I am truly delighted, excited and so grateful for this opportunity and experience. My work is figurative/portrait based therefore I am looking forward to capturing the energy, atmosphere and vibrance of life at the Everyman. Capturing intimate moments behind the scenes, in rehearsals and productions, and also interacting with the public as they watch my process, progress and artwork unfold.”
