The Little Matchgirl // Schools project
Emma Rice’s production comes to the Playhouse following its critically acclaimed premiere at Shakespeare’s Globe. We’re offering four Liverpool Primary schools the chance to work on a project that culminates in a Front of House display for The Little Matchgirl (and Other Happier Tales) during its run at the Playhouse (13 - 17 March).
Schools project
Working with an experienced theatre practitioner, four primary schools will work on a story from The Little Matchgirl to produce work for display and performance in the Playhouse.
You can expect at least two artist visits to your school in the weeks leading up to the production (during February & March) where your students will work to create a visual display that may well include puppetry. It’s completely free to take part in the project, all we ask is that your school makes a booking for the production of at least 30 seats. Tickets are priced £13 each and there’s a free teacher place for every 10 tickets booked.
Want to be a part of it? Please email [email protected] and the first four schools to respond will be invited to take part in the project, completely free.
