Fake news - when simple truth seems more fantastical

 

Gottlieb and Babette Biedermann are honest and worthy people. Or at least, they believe themselves to be.

Angered and horrified at news of fires starting across the town, they welcome two strangers to stay in their attic.

The Arsonists is an unsettling, comedic exploration of how individual failure to act can result in a tsunami of consequences engulfing the many.

Set in an unnamed city, in a timeless context, its vision holds particular relevance in the age of fake news and the twisted truth.

We must ask ourselves what are the injustices of today we let go unchallenged?
