We're well into the joy of the festive season now and once again, we have had the pleasure of sharing a digital version of this year's Rock 'n' Roll Panto, Red Riding Hood, with staff and patients at Alder Hey Hospital. 

Students from Edge Hill University filmed a performance at the beginning of the month ready for children and their families to enjoy in the lead up to Christmas.

Vicky Charnock, Arts Coordinator at Alder Hey, said:

"Alder Hey and Everyman and Playhouse Theatres have developed a special partnership over the years and we are delighted that once again, the theatre is able to offer an exclusive screening of the pantomime Red Riding Hood to our patients and families who are unable to visit the theatre this Christmas. No family want to spend their Christmas in Alder Hey, but through our partnership with Everyman and Playhouse, we can bring a little seasonal magic directly to the patients’ bedside. We hope that this production will bring smiles and laughter to them, as they face the challenge of being in hospital over the Christmas period.  On behalf of all our children and young people in our care, we are incredibly grateful to everybody at Everyman and Playhouse for this wonderful opportunity."
