Alder Hey Children's Charity

YEP x Alder Hey
Building on our longstanding collaboration with the Arts and Health Team at Alder Hey we are running YEP x Alder Hey – a youth theatre for 8-13 year olds.

YEP x Alder Hey is FREE and for young people who are currently under the care of Alder Hey Health Teams as an Outpatient and facing disadvantages due to the impact their illness has on their lives. No previous experience of drama is necessary.

Sessions are designed to support you to connect with your community, develop wellbeing and resilience, and explore your creative storytelling skills.

In sessions you will:
•    build confidence
•    make new friends
•    make decisions together
•    explore creativity
•    learn storytelling and theatre-making skills
•    have an opportunity to share work
•    meet creative professionals

Our practitioners are artists and have lots of experience working with young people. We are young-person led. This means that we build and create stories together. Young people have agency to make decisions that shape their learning and support each other to grow.
