Tony is the Commercial Director at The Lowry, the mixed-arts venue located in Salford. Joining in January 2005, his responsibilities are varied including conferencing & events, catering, retail, visitor services, facilities management and the theatres technical operations. He also takes the organisational lead on health & safety, security and environmental & sustainability initiatives.

Prior to joining The Lowry he was part of the opening team at Imperial War Museum North, with his early career was in sales and operations in the hotel industry, including a brief period working in Italy.

Tony is passionate about the role the arts can play as a catalyst for social change, and is a strong advocate for the transformative power arts-based activity can have on the mental and emotional well-being of all those who take part.

Despite living in Manchester, he is an avid fan of Liverpool FC, with being at the miracle of Istanbul being one of the most memorable nights of his life. His other sporting interests are playing golf, and up until recently table tennis.

His is married, with 2 children.
