The Story Giantcompany have been taking time out of rehearsals to visit our local schools, working with children on The Giant Story Book project. These children will come and see the show in April.
We visited St Vincent de Paul Primary in the city centre, All Saints Primary in Anfield and Holy Trinity Primary in Garston. The students had an opportunity to listen to stories from the play and to share their thoughts and feelings about what they heard.
Everyone had a brilliant time and one teacher, Rachel Samuels, from St Vincent de Paul fedback: “Thanks so much for the session this afternoon - it was truly memorable for the children, and they are all really motivated for the Story Giant project!”
Next, visual artist Alice Smith begins a packed three week workshop period working with all 14 schools signed up for the project. Each group will collectively create a double page spread which features their very own story and will form part of a giant story book which will be displayed at the Everyman during the run of The Story Giant.
The Story Giant is at the Everyman, Thu 13 Apr to Sat 29 Apr
