Commissioned artwork brightens our building
We've commissioned local artist Sumuyya Khader to create some more beautiful artwork for our Everyman building.
You may recognise Sumuyya's work from various venues across Liverpool, or her first UK solo exhibition which was recently held at Bluecoat. We're delighted to have two more of her comissioned pieces adorning our Everyman building.
The first of which sits proudly at the entrance of the Everyman. The poster says WELCOME in the most popular languages spoken in Liverpool and the wider city region: English, Spanish, Polish, Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Bengali, French, Turkish and Farsi.
The local artist also created a piece for the entrance to our office, which reminds the staff here at the Everyman of our values: to be creative, collaborative, courageous and compassionate.
Of course, this isn't the first time that we've worked with Sumuyya: in the height of lockdown, when we had no shows to fill our posterboxes with, we commissioned Sumuyya to fill them with her artwork.
Sumuyya's artwork brightened the front of our buildings until we were able to get our shows back up and running again.
You can purchase some of Sumuyya's artwork on her website.
