Othello // Speaking Shakespeare
This fearsome study of the caustic power of envy places the classic text in a future not too far from now. Clouded by suspicion, tainted by spite, Othello reaches for the dark core of human hatred and bigotry – a place where love and honour may be hard won, but holding onto them is the hardest task of all.
Workshop
Debunk the language of the bard. An opportunity for actors and enthusiasts to get to grips with Shakespeare and to bring his words to life on the stage.
This workshop will be led by Nick Bagnall [Associate Director] and Allan Williams [Learning Associate]. Wary of Shakespeare? Not sure that you know how to approach the roles? This is a fantastic opportunity to get to grips with Othello.
