YEP // Supporter story
Advocates Robin and Nick have been keen supporters of Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP) for several years. They spoke to us about their reasons for giving to our charity; “Young people these days have many challenges to face, and the work that YEP does can only help them develop tools to tackle these.
“We believe that, among other things, YEP provides a space for its members to mix with people of similar ages, likes and interests to pursue their common interest in theatre. The programme allows them to explore their own potentials while gaining self-confidence and developing their communications skills; and acquiring knowledge of the working of the business of producing and acting to set them off on their career path.”
For a decade, YEP has given young people in the city, no matter their circumstances, the chance to pursue their dreams of careers in the arts. In celebration of the programme’s 10th year, we’re on our way to raising £30,000 to help take YEP into the future. Find out more.
Robin and Nick conclude, “We regard this fundraising venture as an excellent chance to give the gift of opportunity and support the invaluable work of YEP. And we strongly encourage anyone who cares for young people, the arts, and/or E&P, to donate generously.”
