This August the team at A Lovely Word have joined forces with the Unusual Art Sourcing Company for a one off special bringing Spoken Word into the open-air at the wooden henge in Princes Park Thursday 5 August, 7.30pm.
Joy France is a teacher turned battle rapper from Manchester who will be headlining the event at Princes Park wooden henge in August. Creative in Residence at Manchester’s Afflecks Palace, Joy’s poetry has featured on Voices Nationwide and TEDxManchesterUniversity. Read more about Manchester’s finest rapping grannie right here.
Featured poets alongside open mic-ers will perform live in Princes Park with audiences invited to watch out in the open air. The open-air event is totally free to attend and seating is ‘bring your own blankets/seats’ with stewards assisting with allocating spots.
