A Lovely Word is back online!

Featuring headliner poet Dean Atta alongside open mic performers.

Poetry has never had a more important role to play in our community and we are more excited than ever to be bringing our monthly spoken word night back online.

A chance to speak, be heard and listen that wouldn’t be possible without the fantastic selection of poets from near and far that make up our night. More than that, it’s a chance to come together, connect with other people and take up our shared virtual space. We hope to see you there.

8pm - Zoom meeting begins, headliner performance with Dean Atta (20 mins)
8.25pm – a poetry exchange hosted on Zoom with 20 open mic poets, and an online audience.

The whole night will be streamed on Facebook live and Youtube (here), as well as being available on ZOOM.

Sign ups for open mic performers will open at 12noon on 21 September and close at 12noon on 25 September. Performers are allowed a maximum of 4 minutes, no hateful language is tolerated.
