Grace Tompkins:
Anti-Fascist Cabaret
Enjoy an evening of fun and flirty anti-fascism.
Our talented cast of local performers will take you through some of the most talked about ideas in anti-fascism, how to keep ourselves safe, and celebrate our community.
You can expect some excellent costumes and far out ideas from a lineup including The Secret Circus’ Queen of Heartbreak, and poet and performer Grace Tompkins.
An antidote to the gloom of the current political landscape, lets us try and bring some queer joy to your evening.
Ollie Adebisi:
Sass
Step into the sequinned world of Buki, a third of Sass – a Coventry-born RnB girl group on the brink of breakup. This theatre piece is an experimental one-person play, performed and created by the writer. With body glitter, a tight weave and a dream Buki will explore queerness as a Black and North African person, the trials of friendship and the grip of coercive control. Brace yourself for an electrifying performance that will leave you laughing and crying, but also will hopefully provoke conversations on what it means to be a person caught between religion, family and identity. As this is a work in progress, feedback is welcomed!
