Working with a Dramaturg: Tips for Effective Feedback
Script Surgery is a programme of dramaturgical support for North West based writers including workshops, events and bespoke one-to-one script meetings.
Script Surgery takes place on the last Wednesday of the month
April’s Script Surgery will be an hour’s workshop with Everyman & Playhouse New Works Associate Frank Peschier on giving and asking for feedback. We all know that sometimes getting notes can be painful, so in this workshop we will look at how to take the sting out by:
- Looking at how to effectively ask for feedback and constructive criticism
- What to look for as a reader and how to communicate notes in a supportive way
- Thinking about your individual style and bringing that to your dramaturgy.
The workshop will be an hour long with time for discussion and questions afterwards.
Names will be drawn at random on Monday 26 April and meetings will be allocated via email. In line with Government Guidelines, our Script Surgery is currently taking place via Zoom.
