She’s in a women’s refuge, trapped by the trauma of past toxic relationships and desperately trying to do the best for her daughter. Her life is a chaotic mix of drugs, ex-boyfriends and difficult relationships, but she longs for change.

Monsay Whitney’s Box Clever is a gritty, raw depiction of how it feels to be a survivor of abuse, and tells the story of a mother’s fight to survive.
