Abigail McKenzie is an actor and playwright with 15 years of professional experience in both theatre and television. She is a graduate of Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, completing her studies in 2006. In 2019, Abigail shifted her focus to playwriting and participated in the Everyman and Playhouse Playwrights Programme.

She is interested in exploring the experiences of disenfranchised women, examining societal biases and the impact they have on individual lives.

Abigail’s debut play, Raven, delves into themes of addiction, isolation, and the far-reaching consequences on maternal relationships. She was inspired to write the play by her own lived experiences with addiction, homelessness, children’s services, and domestic abuse.
