The humbug stops here
For Ebenezer Scrooge, Christmas Eve is just another night – a time for shutting out the world and dreaming of money. But this year is different. This is a Christmas that he, like us, will remember for the rest of his life.
Join us for A Christmas Carol, a thrilling journey through Scrooge’s past, present and future in the company of characters who leap out from Dickens’ unforgettable tale. Playfully adapted by Patrick Barlow – writer of hit comic thriller The 39 Steps – this warm, witty and inventive show delivers tender moments and hilarious comedy as Christmas works its irresistible magic.
After 17 years as our artistic director, Gemma Bodinetz says goodbye to Liverpool audiences in the way she knows best – by creating a spellbinding treat for the whole family. A Christmas Carol will warm hearts, conjure smiles, and remind us all that shared joy can raise the lowest of spirits – even in the most extraordinary times.
“A Christmas Carol (Barlow)” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd
