The Everyman Creative Recovery Steering Group will host a celebration event at the Everyman on Thu 26 Jun 2025 to platform artists in recovery.

The event is FREE and open to Adults in Recovery from addiction or those living with a mental health condition in Merseyside.

What is included in the event?
In the morning, you will have the opportunity to take part in a free workshop and in the afternoon, there will be performances from local artists responding to the theme The Ebb and Flow of Life.

Workshops: 10.30am – 11.15am. Arrive for 10am for refreshments.
You can take part in either Creative Writing, Dancing or Collage Making.
No previous experience needed, come along and join in.

Performances: 12pm – 2pm. Arrive for 11.30am for refreshments.
Performances will feature Collective Encounters, Spider Project, Fallen Angels Dance Theatre, The Pink Flamingos, Rek 41 & Choir With No Name.
No need to book, come along and enjoy.

Who are the Everyman Creative Recovery Steering Group?
They are a group of 12 participants from the different groups in the city region who are working with adults in recovery using creativity. The groups they represent are:

What do I do when I get there?
When you arrive, you will be greeted in the main entrance and the team will signpost you to where to go, and let you know where you will find everything such as toilets and refreshments.

Do I have to attend all day?
You don’t have to attend all day. You can attend the workshops in the morning, the performances in the afternoon, or both. The performances will be informal, and you will be able to come and go from the space as you need, we just ask that you be respectful of the performances taking place.

Do I need to book?
No need to book, turn up and we will see you there.

What if I am running late?
Please come along, we will have someone at the main entrance to meet you and get you to where you need to be.

What do I do if I am performing?
If you are part of one of the groups performing, please arrive by 11.30am. All workshops will be finished by 11.30am so feel free to take part in a workshop in the morning.
