Want to belly laugh with some amazingly funny women?

Downstairs at the Everyman is pleased as punch to welcome Fem De La Femme on the fourth Thursday of every month. This seriously funny comedy night is packed with some of the finest women comedians from the North West and beyond. From established comics to those taking their first steps into comedy, the night is packed with jokes, laughter, spoken word and there might even be a raffle.

Fem De La Femme is a big fan of women of all backgrounds and offers a warm, welcoming space for everyone to get together and enjoy the best women in comedy, and fellas you're welcome to come too!

Line Up for December

Hayley Ellis

Hayley has provided tour support for Sarah Millican, John Bishop and Jason Manford. Her comedy is sharp, clever and very funny, and her warmth, quick wit means she is one of the fastest rising women in comedy. Her wealth of material has also led her to contributing to Russell Howard’s Good News, Radio 4 Newsjack, Absolute radio and XFM’s breakfast show to name a few.

Allyson June Smith
A self-confessed “over-sharer”, Allyson June Smith  inevitably serves up a potent observational cocktail of wit, bite and shame. Courageously self-deprecating, Allyson’s comedic gift is making every room, whatever the size, feel like an intimate group therapy session. That intimacy, that uncommon bond between audience and performer is at the heart of Allyson’s magic as a comedian.

Other A-listers Allyson has been called to share the stage with include Katherine Ryan, Stewart Francis, John Bishop, Stephen Merchant, and Samantha Bee (The Daily Show).

Liz Bullock
Liz is a midnight writer, painter and creator, adversity brought out the verse in her with a slice of cynicism and wit. Liz has ADHD, and with a surplus excess of energy, had the realisation that at 63 the worlds a better place to be with some comic verse and poetry.

Shannon Sumfing
Shannon Griffiths, also known as "Sumfing," is a rising star in comedy, gaining recognition for her clever wit and down-to-earth humour. She has wowed audiences at various venues, including the prestigious Beat the Frog World Series Awards, where she showcased her talent among some of the brightest up-and-coming comedians. Her ability to connect with audiences through relatable stories and sharp punchlines has solidified her place as one to watch in the comedy world.

Rose Gray
Rose is a Manchester-based actor and writer. For over a decade, she's worked across stage, commercial and screen and in 2023 she trained at the renowned Ecole Gaulier, with master clown Phillipe Gaulier reviewing Rose's performances as "boring, boring, f*cking boring". 
Since then, she performs monthly in the double-act Nose at Manchester's comedy alternative night, Title Fight, and spends her free time making props and writing sketches.

Fiona Innes
Fiona is a Singer and a nurse who has been, for some time, musing over such existential concerns as ‘WHY did the chicken cross the road?’ and ‘WHO is that knocking at the door?’ she’ll be putting down her needles and bandages for a night with Fem de la Femme to help us all unpick these pressing issues of our time…

Kerry Robinson
When not lounging on a sofa rolling her eyes at social media. Kerry can be found making people laugh in open mics in and around the North and Midlands. At times acerbic, and not afraid to speak her mind she tells tales of being a middle aged woman.

Promising Middle Aged Women -her ensemble cast show  sold out Durham Fringe and went on to be performed at the Women in Comedy Festival In Manchester to rave reviews.

Olivia is an introverted extrovert poet, sort of like two polar opposite people chilling inside one body, they argue a lot, but one thing they can agree on is that humour is the best way of dealing with tragedy by shining a light on dark times with dark humour.
