As part of our work to support Liverpool’s wider theatre ecology, we host regular events to build resilient and fruitful creative networks, develop knowledge and skills, and share resources.

Each month, we offer:

• Production Process workshops, where Everyman & Playhouse staff share their expertise
• Creative Co-working, with prompts for discussion and peer-learning. (plus free tea and coffee!)

And, during previews for every in-house production, we run a Freelancers’ Mixer with free drinks and a discounted ticket to see the show.

Production Process

We run free monthly workshops for local creatives to look at all elements of a production process with Everyman & Playhouse staff.

New workshops are constantly being added, drawing on our in-house expertise and responding to requests from our community of freelance artists.

Places are capped at 20 on a first-come, first-served basis. If you sign up and find you can no longer attend, please let us know in advance.

Creative Co-working

On the first Thursday of the month, we host a co-working day for local theatre makers.

Prompts to kick off discussion are provided by Tommo, our New Works Associate, at 11.30am – and the rest is up to you!

It’s a space to talk about the opportunities and challenges that we all share, as well as those that are distinct to our own roles – to exchange resources and advice, nurture new creative relationships – or just get your head down and power through some emails in a more sociable setting.

So grab a friend and come on down to the Writers’ Room at the Everyman to meet, chat, rant, plot and dream together – all with free tea and coffee!

Freelancers’ Mixer

If you’re a freelance theatre artist of any kind, come and connect with fellow creatives living and working in the city, as well as members of our Artistic team.

Our Mixers are free to attend, and offer a range of talks, discussions and networking opportunities.

They’re held during previews for our in-house productions at the Everyman, and often include members of the creative team – as well as offering free drinks and a discounted ticket to see the show afterwards.

We also know that events like this can be overstimulating or stressful, so offer a quiet space in the Writers’ Room before and during each Mixer.
