Between 11am and 3pm, you can enjoy a freshly prepared daily menu of hot dishes, snacks, drinks and sweet indulgences served from the counter.

Please note: hot food is not served after 3pm.

If you’re coming to see a show, our Theatre Bar opens 1hr before the start of a performance and during the interval. Look out for a text from us before your visit which will include a link to pre-order items for your arrival and the interval.

There’s a 10% discount on food and drink in the Street Café to:
Higher Education
– Students and Staff from University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores, Hope University, LMA, Edge Hill University and LIPA; just show your student or staff card when ordering.

Creative Unions/Councils
– Members of BECTU, Equity, Writers Guild, Musicians Union, Independent Theatres Council and Stage Directors UK; just show your union membership card or proof of union membership.
– City Explorer* ticket holders.

There are three bars at the Playhouse:

The Stalls Bar is downstairs and features neo-Grecian pillars and decoration that date back to the theatre’s origins as a music hall in 1865.

The Circle Bar is at the first level and the Gallery Bar is on the top floor, with both offering wonderful views across Liverpool’s skyline.

There’s a kiosk too, serving sweets & treats, ice-cream and merchandise.

Our bars and kiosk open 1hr before the start of a show and during the interval, serving a selection of drinks and treats.
